Things people ask us a lot.
- Check spam first. If it's still missing, try requesting another from the sign-in screen — sometimes inbox providers are slow on the first attempt. If a magic link keeps failing, email support@homecanon.com and we'll diagnose from our side.
- Check that push notifications are enabled for HomeCanon in iOS / Android Settings. Inside the app, Settings → Notifications shows whether the daily reminder window is set correctly. We also have a backup that nudges dormant tasks after 7 days of silence.
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is irreversible after a 30-day grace window. If you can't access the app, email support@homecanon.com from the address you signed up with and we'll handle it.
- Yes. Email support@homecanon.com with the address you signed up with and we'll send your appliances, schedules, completion history, and documents as a downloadable archive.
- Please do. The library is curated and we love adding what people actually own. support@homecanon.com — bonus points for a model number and your typical maintenance routine.
- Apple and Google handle billing. Manage or cancel from your App Store / Play Store account. If you think something is wrong on our end, email support@homecanon.com.

Connecting ecobee.
- From Settings → Smart Home, tap Connect ecobee.
- Sign in with your ecobee credentials. HomeCanon receives read-only access — we cannot change your thermostat schedule or setpoints.
- Map each ecobee device to the corresponding HVAC appliance in HomeCanon.
- Within 24 hours the first runtime reading appears. Filter tasks will begin auto-completing at threshold.
Nest and SmartThings work similarly. If you hit a snag, email support@homecanon.com with the device model and we'll walk you through.

Using the AI assistant.
Pro includes 20 queries per month, reset on the first of the calendar month. Each query sends a compact snapshot of your appliances + recent task history to Anthropic's Claude API; we never include personal notes or document contents unless you reference them in the question. Anthropic does not train on this data.
If you hit the monthly cap, the chat input grays out until reset; the rest of the app keeps working. Business tier increases the cap to 200 queries per property per month.
